If joint pain is interfering with your regular routine and you have tried multiple treatments without success, you should consider chiropractic care. Chiropractic care uses safe, non-invasive, and nonsurgical treatment methods to stimulate the body’s natural healing processes, relieve pain, and improve function and mobility. At Big Bend Chiropractic, one of the methods our chiropractor Dr. Michael Miller uses to treat joint pain is LightForce laser therapy.

What Is LightForce Laser Therapy?

LightForce laser therapy is deep tissue laser therapy. Laser therapy uses red and near-infrared light to penetrate deep within your skin, muscles, ligaments, and tissues. This creates a biological and chemical reaction in your body that stimulates the body’s natural healing process. LightForce laser therapy can be used as an alternative to prescription drugs, surgery, and invasive treatments. It is an effective treatment option for joint pain, muscle strains, tendonitis, arthritis, bursitis, neck pain, back pain, knee pain, neuropathy, sprains, and repetitive stress and overuse injuries.

What to Expect During and After Your Treatment

We can administer LightForce laser therapy using a small handheld laser device that looks like a wand.  The wand is held over your skin at the targeted treatment area. It will deliver laser light deep within your tissues. The procedure is painless, noninvasive, and requires no downtime or recovery time. Each treatment takes between 10-15 minutes depending on the size of the treatment area. You can resume your regular activities immediately after treatment.

How Does LightForce Laser Therapy Treat Joint Pain?

LightForce laser therapy uses a process called photobiomodulation. This means that the light enters your tissues and stimulates biological processes that improve tissue and cell regrowth and relieve pain and inflammation. Your body will use its own natural powers of healing, resulting in reduced joint pain within 18-24 hours of treatment.
